What you will do:  Share what you did and what you learned while abroad!

  • Make presentations about your study abroad experience (about 10 total over the academic year) to the following groups:

    • UCI Freshmen
    • Groups & organizations that you are currently or were previously involved in (e.g. sports clubs, scouts, youth groups, community organizations, your favorite high school teacher’s class, etc.)
    • High School groups that UCI targets (e.g. Santa Ana, Anaheim, Long Beach, etc.)
  • Assist UCI’s Study Abroad Center at special events on campus to promote study abroad

What you will get:

  • Professional Development:  Become an excellent public speaker.  Learn how to tailor information to a specific audience.  Improve mentoring skills.  Hone your accountability, time-management skills, general planning skills, etc.
  • Personal rewards:  Develop greater clarity on what you learned from studying abroad and how you can apply it to your future.  Inspire and motivate others to follow in your footsteps.
  • Stipend:  Up to $500 if you reach the target number of presentations during the academic year.
