EAP Exchange Partners
UCI students who have returned from studying abroad can be matched with a visiting UCEAP reciprocal exchange student to help them settle in to life at UCI.
English Conversation Program
The English Conversation Program allows international students to improve conversational skills while discussing current events in small groups. Meet international students and scholars from around the world and gain exposure to multiple perspectives on current events, both local and global. Everyone is welcome! International Coffee Hour
Come and meet students from all over the world. Enjoy lively conversations and refreshments. New members are always welcome, and you can come and go as you please during the coffee hour.
International Student Excellence Programs
Current UCI students serve as mentors to new UCI international students. ISEP is committed to helping first year international students have a positive experience at UCI by focusing on adjustment and enrichment.
The International House is a living-learning residence (located in the Arroyo Vista theme house community) for students who want to increase their knowledge and understanding of different cultures, share international perspectives, and build friendships with students from around the world. Half of the residents are international students and half are from the U.S.

Civic and Community Engagement Minor
Open to all majors, this minor gives you the knowledge, skills, and values to be agents of change in your community – whether your community is local or global. The internship requirement can be completed abroad.
Global Brigades UCI
Join a group of passionate student and professional volunteers who work together on sustainable development projects in Honduras, Panama and Ghana. GBUCI works in a holistic manner aiming to provide long term solutions to development challenges. Rather than imposing our values on the communities we serve, instead it is all about students empowering communities to help them realize the potential they have within themselves
Under the direction of faculty and graduate students, you can earn academic credit and leadership experience, while teaching high school and middle school students about international issues.

Hear from experts in academia and the private sector speak on international topics of current interest.
Model United Nations
Model United Nations focuses on developing an understanding of current international issues by providing both high school and college students with an understanding of the origin, the role and the impact of the United Nations in the international community. Participants learn skills to debate, caucus, research and write for simulated UN conferences.
Plan a faculty mentored research project on an international topic that interests you while you are abroad or once you return. Opportunities are available to apply for research funding, for publication in the UCI Undergraduate Research Journal, and to present your research at the annual UCI Undergraduate Research Symposium.
