Growing up in a very Indian family, cricket was a huge part of my childhood. I loved watching matches with my family and cheering my favorite team (England) on. Since cricket is not a major sport in the US I haven’t had the opportunity to play or watch it as much as I would like. When I applied to study abroad in London I was very excited about the prospect of watching several live matches in the infamous Lord’s Cricket Ground. Little did I know that not only would I be able to see matches live, but I would have the opportunity to meet and play with the players of the England National cricket team! It was an experience I will never forget as I got to learn tips and tricks from some of my favorite players and the captain of my favorite team!
One of the greatest things about studying abroad is that if you’re willing to step outside your comfort zone and open yourself up to new opportunities you never know what amazing things you will be able to experience!
