Faculty – Call for Proposals

Academic Years: 2022-2023

The UCI Study Abroad Center, a unit of The Office of Global Engagement, aspires to be an integral part of every student’s UCI education, providing opportunities for international, intercultural experiences through academic programs, exchanges, internships, service learning and volunteering.

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a tremendous impact on students’ ability to participate in study abroad programs, however, UCI students are more determined than ever and are preparing to study abroad once travel resumes. We recognize that the state of international mobility is currently very limited but the situation is fluid.  We hope the UC travel restrictions will soon be lifted for a gradual return to travel by Spring 2022.

The UCI Study Abroad Center remains available to support faculty and departments in the development and coordination of programs abroad.  We are currently creating resources and establishing procedures to simplify the process including designing and proposal form and the official approval process.  When this is complete, it will be available on this page.

If you are interested in offering a new faculty-led study abroad program, please complete this short interest questionnaire and the Study Abroad Center team will reach out to schedule a meeting to discuss your program ideas.
