• Complete lower-division writing prior to studying abroad.
  • The following courses must be taken at UCI: MGMT 101-110, 191W, and 130-series accounting emphasis courses.
  • Fulfill the International Business Requirement (D) via an approved UCEAP program. You do not necessarily need to take a business course to satisfy the requirement but consult with a School of Business advisor.
  • A maximum of two (2) study abroad courses may be taken towards the Business Administration electives requirement.
  • Consider taking Pre-Approved Upper-Division Business Electives.
  • You can submit a course substitution petition for courses that are not found on the pre-approved upper-division business electives document.  NOTE: You will need an Outlook account to be able to access this form.   • Petitions are reviewed quarterly and due by Week 3, Friday at 5 pm. Faculty decisions will be released by the end of Week 1 of the following quarter. An attached syllabus is required. Contact the host institution to request syllabi or wait until you are enrolled in the course overseas to submit your request.
  • Students considering an Accounting career may not want to go abroad fall of junior year or their entire senior year due to internship and full-time recruiting activities.
