Study Abroad Participants: UCI Programs

There are 2 steps that every UCI student must take before participating in any UCI-sponsored program abroad:

  1. Complete the post-acceptance/pre-departure section within the UCI Abroad portal.
  2. Attend the Study Abroad Center pre-departure orientation the quarter before you depart. You will receive an email invitation once the dates and times are set.

Apply directly to your UCI program, making sure to meet all deadlines and follow all instructions they provide.

The types of financial aid available and process to follow varies by program. Review the details under “Finances” on our website to make sure studying abroad on an UCI Program works for you.

If you decide that you can no longer participate on your UCI Program, inform your program immediately.
