UCI Programs
What is a UC Irvine Program?
UCI programs are designed specifically for UCI students to zot abroad through a Bilateral Exchange Program or a Faculty-Led Program.
- UCI Department Sponsored Global Programs offer short, thorough international academic experiences led by UCI faculty. Program duration varies between 1-6 weeks.
- Bilateral Exchange programs consist of a reciprocal opportunity established by an agreement between UC Irvine and a partner university overseas to facilitate student mobility between the two institutions during a specific term (academic year, fall, winter and spring quarters abroad). Bilateral Exchange Programs are exclusively for UC Irvine students.
Why choose a UC Irvine Program?
Bilateral exchange programs
- These programs are exclusively between UCI and our partners abroad. We will directly advocate for you without any other in-between agent.
- Program costs vary, some can be less expensive than other programs.
- Financial aid and scholarships are also available for these programs.
- Some programs are open to all majors, some programs are restricted to certain departments.
- The UCI Study Abroad Center will provide logistical support before & throughout the program.
UCI Department Sponsored Global Programs
- It’s an excellent opportunity for experiencing a one-on-one interaction with UCI faculty.
- Most participants are other UCI students, and the number of participants is limited, creating a small cohort feeling.
- Continue engaging in extracurricular activities without embarking in long-term study abroad programs.
- Financial aid and scholarships are available for some of these programs.
- Program details, such as location, dates, courses, cost, eligibility, etc., are diverse to meet your personal needs and professional goals.
- The UCI Study Abroad Center will provide with logistical support before & throughout the program.
