The 2019 Zotfest Film Festival strives to screen the finest films from students at the University of California, Irvine! The festival screens film submissions of all genres including drama, comedy, documentary, animation and music video. Following the screenings, the Festival award ceremony offers accolades such as the Golden Anteater, Best Screenplay, Best Technical Achievement, Best Performance, and the People’s Choice Award. Please join the attendees with a closing reception.
The goal of Zotfest is to showcase the talent of UC Irvine filmmakers, as well as provide an opportunity to connect with peers, faculty, alumni, and invited guests through a shared passion for film. Zotfest strives to not only celebrate the accomplishments of undergraduate film artists and actors, but also expose their talents to the rest of the film industry.
Zotfest is a fully student-organized film festival and the only student-run film festival in the UC system. Previously known as Xzotica, directors of the Zotfest committee organize ambitious students from various college majors to bring life to a productive UC Irvine’s film community. In the collaboration between Zotfilm and the Film-Art-Drama alliance, Zotfest operates with the filmmakers at UC Irvine in mind.
